A Quick Trip to Virginia's Blue Ridge
Thank you to Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge for making this trip possible. As a former destination marketer I understand how much time and effort goes into making press/influencer trips like this happen. This trip was sponsored in part by Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge, but all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
You probably caught it over on the 'gram, but Sando (my cohost on The Mustache Mesa podcast) and I recently went on a little adventure to Virginia's Blue Ridge region. It's basically everything you want in a mountain destination with plenty of surprises.
Our trip was centered mainly in and around Roanoke, VA. We had some wonderful meals, visited some exceptional shops and found a good number of those surprises.
Before you go and listen to us gush over this wonderful destination, here are a few photos to wet your whistle.
No trip south would be complete without some grits. This is the grits bowl from breakfast at the Hotel Roanoke.
We found the coolest shop stocked with locally made products called the Virginia Design Collective. Atti and I share this star sign.
All dressed up and ready to head to dinner. I should note, earlier in the day we both showed up in black jumpsuits/rompers. It wasn't super shocking when we met before dinner and were both rocking waist ties.
One of the many, many cute vignettes at gift shop Chocolatepaper.
The fried chicken at The River and Rail Restaurant was as good as it looks.
Again, go and give our special podcast episode a listen and when you get down to Virginia's Blue Ridge, be sure and tag us (@themustachemesa) in all of your photos!
